Chezy Nir

Israeli-born Chezy Nir studied with Meir Rimon at the Tel Aviv Music Academy, and with Marie Luise Neunecker at the Frankfurt Musikhochschule, Germany. He is a founding member of the New Israel Woodwind Quintet, and teaches at the Tel Aviv and Jerusalem music academies. He is currently Principal Horn with the Israel Symphony Rishon-Lezion Orchestra, and has served as Guest Principal of the Israel Camerata Jerusalem and Israel Sinfonietta Beersheva orchestras. He has performed as soloist with leading Israeli orchestras and appeared in chamber and solo concerts in Israel and abroad. He has participated in festivals in Switzerland, Germany, France, and Israel and recorded for radio stations in Israel and Frankfurt. His recent tour with the Concertante Ensemble, performing Beethoven's Septet and Schubert's Octet, led to a number of further engagements in the USA.
